There are still a wide area of demands put on companion dogs that we may never even consider for a working partner. Most pet owners do not have the need or desire to become proficient handlers who can uphold elaborate demands given to their dogs. We often have trained or started dogs who have been used in our trainer /handler advancement classes and once the human student graduates the dogs are in need of a good permanent home. These dogs may range from shelter rescues or donations from well known breeders. The breeds may range from min pins to mastiffs. And everything in between. We also have special needs dogs. These dogs may be limited to the kind of home we feel comfortable putting them in.
